so stop pretending you don’t!
I’ve been watching you…
oh, don’t lose your head, I
mean no harm.
But yeah I’ve been watching
and I know you.
When you thought no one was watching
yesterday, as you giggled at the
fluttering little bugs on the trail,
you were glowing
with your love of nature
and you were quite
beautiful.
But then you put on that persona again
the one that covers your uniqueness
and I lost you among the cacti:
Cholla’s glow replacing yours,
in the late afternoon sun.
