We’re gonna crash and burn today, aren’t we,
in a most spectacular way;
Likely with fireworks even (and not the celebratory kind).
I’ve felt it brewing for the past few days…
I’m sure you haven’t though,
and baby that’s absolutely a bet
I would take.
Logically I know I’m just a paycheck to you.
And have been ever since the day we met.
Thing is,
you never made me feel like that’s all I was
and the fact that it’s true
doesn’t make it any easier
to feel.
