Reason Enough

I won’t be dissuaded by sensitive ego
to abandon this pursuit.
I don’t write seeking fame, fortune, or
perfection: no, I write
for the joy of expression.
And if I manage to touch even one soul,
because what my heart has said rings true:
it’s reason enough
for me.
