all these years later,
what a journey it’s been indeed!
If I’d been paying any kind of attention though
I’d have seen that you
were on a journey too
quite separate from the one on which you embarked
with me.
Ah but as you always say
it’s not about you
it’s about me
so I guess it’s only natural that I haven’t
paid you that attention and yet
in my heart
I feel it
