Lost in torment again-
forsaken space, this,
between want and need.
Refusing to align as always,
when it comes to you and I.
Why is what I need,
never what I want?
A question older than myself,
and often asked, I’m sure.
So I keep trying to force
want and need to get along.
The only loser in this war?
Me.
